In 2020, Crowborough Arts will be celebrating its 10th birthday! It seems impossible that we've been around that long, until you look at the literally hundreds of events, concerts, exhibitions and workshops we've put on over the past decade. For our anniversary year, we have a new logo, and we're planning some really special events, including a return visit from the Monks of the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery from Tibet. Have a look at our newly updated website to find out more about what's happening, and watch this space for more exciting developments!
The Clay Studio at Groombridge is a fabulous place to learn or perfect your pottery skills - and you can see the results of the students' work on 30th November when they're open for business. Don't miss the chance to grab some unique pieces just in time for Christmas!
On 18th October, we're incredibly lucky to have top author/producer Simon Brett speaking to us about his life in writing. Simon has written over 100 books and many dramas for both radio and television. Many will remember the hilarious "After Henry", starring Prunella Scales. Simon's talk is entitled "Tickled to Death", which, he explains, captures both sides of his writing: humour and crime. This will be a fascinating and entertaining evening. As ever spaces are limited, but we do have a few tickets remaining at the time of writing, so do get in touch to reserve your seats!
We have only about a dozen tickets left for our fab murder mystery, so grab yours now, before it's too late! It would be a crime not to!
We had such great feedback from last year's murder mystery, and so many people who missed it said they wished they'd come along, we decided we'd do it all again this year! Held once again in the beautiful garden at the King's Head, Rotherfield, this year's show is set in a seedy 1960s holiday camp. Encounter, up close and personal, a pair of warring grannies, a down-at-heel comedian, a couple of entertainment hopefuls and a curmudgeonly caretaker at Bertie Bantam's Holiday Camp. A glass of fizz when you arrive, a delicious barbecue and a choc ice (okay, a Magnum - can you even buy choc ices these days?) are all included in your ticket price. But hurry - spaces are limited and over half the tickets have gone already!
