This is a question we expect to hear repeatedly over the next few months! Originating as a dish of chopped meat, anchovies, eggs, onions and seasoning, the term has passed into common usage (well commonish, anyway) to mean a general mixture or miscellaneous collection. In any case, it's a great word, and - guess what - is alliterative with the name of our county, hence the title for our event on 15th June: "A Sussex Salmagundi". We've put together a brilliant cast including not only regular Crowborough Arts performers, but also some truly exceptional guests - and some big surprises! Our Salmagundi will include music, poetry, the retelling of local legends, the dramatisation of work by famous local authors, and much, much more.
