Painting & Mixed Media After a working life of teaching fine art I have spent the last 23 years developing my own work. It is an interesting process and I enjoy the freedom to do anything I like. I am passionate about colour, not just for its sake but when combined with a strong interest in design and structure, and a love for the decorative, the results are personal to me. I do not work directly from nature but draw on imagery from memory and experience. Painting in Oils Having been an illustrator all my working life I now paint what I like. There is a strong element of the narrative in everything that I do. However my paintings can stand on their own as independent works of art; my subject matter comes entirely from my imagination.
